Yes, my name really is Twinkle! I love being a Twinkle and I love art,  artists, and all things art.

After 25 years in the corporate world and 20 years as a business owner, I decided to
“put my mark on paper.”  Art was a life-long love but creating it was only a dream.

I  paint in a representational style, inspired by our travels to foreign lands including Europe, China, Africa and the Americas, all of which provides endless subject matter. My goal is to take my viewers along on my journey, to feel as if they have traveled with me or to remind them of places they have been, or perhaps, to inspire them to travel.

I  mainly use water media, appreciating the differences and similarities of watercolor and acrylic:
the luminosity, transparency, and surprise of watercolor and the texture and versatility of acrylics. I recently discovered pastels and marvel at the beautiful, brilliant colors. An unplanned adventure with oils has been very rewarding while moving that rich, luscious paint around a canvas! What might be next?

Three years of studying Chinese Brush Painting taught me discipline and gave me the desire to
pursue other mediums and styles. I am a self-taught artist and continue to take classes and workshops while challenging myself with experimental works.

I see art as a journey, an integral part of my life, and a way of sharing all that is good with others. Come travel with me as you view my latest series of small impressions of our world.
